Our Active School Committee are busy preparing for Active Schools Week! They have been visiting the classrooms and talking to their schoolmates about what activities we will be taking part in. Everyone is very excited. The committee also have been teaching the steps to the Cha Cha Slide to each class, which our whole school will perform on Friday as part of our Day of Dance!

Active School Homework – “Move-It Monday”
Teachers have been assigning their pupils with active homework every Monday for “Move-It Monday”. This homework encourages the boys to take on active challenges at home, such as running, sit ups, press ups, hopping, dancing, squats, leg lifts and jumping jacks.
The boys in Ms. Murphy’s first class provided some feedback as to how they liked this extra homework.
“I like it because it gets exercise in.” – A.M.
“I want to do it every single day and at weekends.” – T.M.
“Teacher doesn’t give us enough sit ups!” – P.C.
“I like it because it’s so active.” – C.D.
