One thing we absolutely love in Room 4 is to read new picture books and create Art based on the characters in the books.

This week we enjoyed reading ‘The Dot’ and made our own mark based on the story! We also read ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and made our own caterpillars too! And guess what? We even cut the circles all by ourselves!

Today we went on a Nature Walk to observe the signs of Autumn we can spot in our local community. We were so excited to bring back leaves and conkers for our Nature Table.

Today we conducted the Skittles experiment using hot and cold water. We noticed that even though the Skittles form a rainbow effect with both hot and cold water, the hot water protects the colours from mixing. We were so fascinated!

We have been learning how to hold a paintbrush with the correct grip and have been working on painting inside the lines.

Mr Men books are definitely our favourite books so far!
