We had lots of fun at music class with Bergie this week. We did some listening and responding exercises and we made lots of different sounds using percussion instruments.
Lego Challenge

On Friday afternoons as a reward for all our hard work during the week we have Lego challenge activities. The boys work in groups to make wonderful Lego creations.
Daily Mile

We are working on our fitness in Prefab 9. Everyday we run laps of the yard. We started running one lap and we are currently able to run 5 laps. We hope to be able to run a mile very shortly. All our training is paying off and we feel not only fitter but stronger and healthier.
Fireman Visit

We had a special visit from a fireman to our classroom. We asked him important questions about the job of a fire fighter. He told us how to be safe at Halloween!

Today we had a special visitor from the fire station. We had so many questions and learned a lot of things about fire safety.
Nocturnal Animals

We are learning about nocturnal animals and have completed fact files on bats, hedgehogs and owls. We made beautiful owls using textured paper, feathers and card.
Number Stories

We are working on number stories and exploring all the different ways to make various numbers.
Music with Bergie

Today we had music with Bergie. We learned to use our listening ears and to watch and follow the conductor. We first used body percussion to put on a rain show and then we used percussion instruments. We used different instruments to sound out light rain, medium rain, heavy rain and thunder. We had so much fun!
