We have been learning in Maths about measures and have been practicing our new language: small, big, bigger, tall, short, shorter, long, longer, shortest. We have been using lego blocks and counting how many it would take to be as tall as the table, our friends, taller than teacher, etc.

We had a lovely visit from Garda Ciara today. She told us about her job, we sang her a song and discussed fire safety and staying safe around Halloween.  We also promised to say hello to her when we see her on the road.

Today we went on a Nature Walk and collected lots of leaves for our leaf rubbings and for our Nature Table.

Today we had a special visitor from the fire station. We had so many questions and learned a lot of things about fire safety.

Today we had music with Bergie. We learned to use our listening ears and to watch and follow the conductor. We first used body percussion to put on a rain show and then we used percussion instruments. We used different instruments to sound out light rain, medium rain, heavy rain and thunder. We had so much fun!
