Halloween in Prefab 8

We have been very busy in Prefab 8 this month doing lots of fun and spooky Halloween activities.

Well done to all the boys on their SPOOKtacular costumes in our Witch Walk today.

Amazing Artists

Congratulations to our October artists of the week Sam Power, John and Evan on their amazing and creative artwork.

Autumn Time

It’s Autumn time and the boys in Prefab 8 have done some fantastic Autumn writing.

Halloween Art

Spooky is definitely our theme of the week! The boys are having great fun preparing for halloween with their spooky witches hats and skeletons.

Spooky Music

We really enjoyed he spooky music Bergie our music teacher introduced to us this week. The music we listened to was Danse Macabre by the French composer Saint-Sans.

Maths Week Winners!

We had some very exciting news today in Prefab 8. Last week we entered a competition for Maths week to guess the correct (or nearest) number of jellies in the jar. Our guess was 181 and today we found out we won!! The boys were delighted and celebrated with some jellies.

Community Guard Visit

We recently had a visit from Ciara, a community Guard, who gave the boys lots of tips about staying safe at Halloween time.

Percussion Instruments

There is always great excitement when the percussion instruments are played in Prefab 8. The boys really embraced the sounds and rhythm in our music lesson this week.

Morning Activities

In Prefab 8 our favourite time of the day is our morning activities. We love to improve our fine motor skills while having fun! Our new jigsaw puzzles have been a little tricky, so we have been lucky enough to work together as a team to get the job done.

September’s Artists of the Week

Congratulations to our Artists of the Week for the month of September Luca, Ollie and Eli.

Luca represented himself beautifully in his very own self portrait- fantastic work!

While we learned all about PopArt, Ollie produced such a lovely contrast with the primary colours that he used to paint his “handprint pop art”.

Eli’s interpretation of Kandinsky’s Concentric Circles with oil pastels is amazing, well done!
