We were very lucky to visit Cabra Library recently. Catherine the librarian read us some of her favourite stories. She also told us all about the library borrowing system and how we can borrow some books for up to three weeks! Did you know that there are no longer any fines for late book returns or even for lost books! The librarians ask that we just let them know if we have misplaced a book and they can remove it from your account. Next time, we hope to borrow some books to take home for a few weeks.
Ceolchoirm agud Céilí
Ar an Máirt seo chaite, as part of our céilí the boys learned the Haka as Gaeilge with Ms. Sawyer. They also practiced their haon, dó, trís agus an rince Ballaí Luimnigh (Walls of Limerick). Bhaineann na buachaillí an-taitneamh as na rincí éagsúla.
Ar an gCéadaoin, bhí ceochoirm ar siúl sa halla. Chan na buachaillí “Cúigear Fear ag Tógáil Tigh” le chéile sa cheolchoirm. Ansin, bhí Ms McBride agus Ms Conneely ag seinm an feadóg stáin agus an bodhrán. Ag an deireadh, rinne Ms Sawyer rince álainn agus rinne Ms Conneely rince le scuab!
World Downsyndrome Day 2023
March 21st is World Downsyndrome Day and all the boys in our class wore mismatched and brightly coloured socks to mark the day. We designed our own socks and played some fun sock matching games too.
