Spring Hunt

Today we went on a lovely Spring Walk to search for signs of Springtime.

World Down’s Syndrome Awareness Day

Well done to the boys who wore their odd socks to raise awareness for Down’s Syndrome. We watched a lovely video about Chloe, who told us about the extra special chromosome she has. You can watch the video through this link

St. Patrick’s Day Fun in Prefab 8

We had a Lá Glas iontach! Well done to the boys who won the art competition! Maith Sibh!

There’s no such thing as a Gruffalo!

His eyes are orange, his tongue is black, he has purple prickles all over his back…. Can you find your Gruffalo?

World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day wearing our pyjamas to school and we listened to some of our favourite bedtime stories. Ms Markey read The Gruffalo to us. We wrote about our favourite characters from the story.

We made table football games

As part of SESE we have been  exploring sports, hobbies and games. The boys worked together in pairs to design and make a table football game to play with their partner. The boys were very creative and enjoyed the design process as well as playing the games that they had created!

The Story of 9

We are learning all about the number 9. We worked with the boys in our groups to show the story of 9 using hoops, balls and bean bags. Maths is always fun when we work together!

We made play dough

We made play dough using flour, salt, water, oil and food colouring. First we mixed the dry ingredients together, then we mixed the wet ingredients together. Finally, we mixed both the dry and wet ingredients together in a bowl until the dough was ready for us to play with.

Garda Band

The Garda Band came to perform some Christmas songs for us. They really got us into the Christmas spirit.

A Tasty Surprise

The boys were very excited to decorate their very own gingerbread men. They were even more excited to eat the tasty treats!
