School Tour

We had a super day at Clonfert Farm for our school tour. The boys got to see so many animals – including meerkats, ring tailed lemurs and alpacas! They also enjoyed the zip line, bouncy castles, go karts, cray golf and three different playgrounds. It was a day to remember

The Bogies

We had a fantastic day in the bogies with our Senior Infant friends. We started off with some climbing and swinging in the playground. Then we enjoyed our picnic in the shade with our pals. We had a great game of football out in the pitches too. Finally, we split into teams and headed off on a mini-beast hunt. We found so many mini-beasts!

Sports Day

We finished off a very active week with a super sports day. Our favourite part of the day was the danca-a-thon!

Active School Week

We had such a busy week in Prefab 8 to celebrate Active School Week. We did Karate with Monica, GAA with Fergal and orienteering with our classmates.

Taekwondo

Thank you to Grandmaster Howard, Cillian and Darragh for teaching us some cool Taekwondo moves. We also learned how to count to 5 in Korean!

Picnic in the Sunshine ☀️

We had a lovely picnic today with all our friends from Senior Infants ☀️

5,4,3,2,1…..blast off!!

We made rockets today using paper, glue and straws! Some of the rockets didn’t launch at first. We figured out that there were some gaps in the paper where air was escaping. Once we solved that problem our rockets were flying

Relay Marathon

Look at those boys run! Well done to everybody who participated in our Fitter Younger Relay Marathon. The boys ran super fast and we managed to break our speed record by two whole minutes. We had a great day.

Prefab 8 in Outer Space

We have been exploring all things planet Earth and space related in Prefab 8 this month. Look at the spectacular creations the boys built with lego, magformers and stickle bricks. They created satellites, solar systems, spaceships and rockets. Some boys worked together with their friends to brainstorm their ideas. Their imaginations can go to infinity- and beyond!

Garda Visit

A big thank you to Garda Cillian who came to visit our school. We tried on Garda uniforms and took turns to sit in the front of his van. We even got to turn on the sirens and pretend to arrest some criminals and keep them in the secure hold in the back. When we got back to class we all had our fingerprints taken and filled in our details on a real charge sheet!
