Fun at PE

The boys in Room 7 had great fun today at PE working on different skills such as throwing at a target, trying out skipping ropes, hopping, running and jumping. Well done boys!
Seasonal Science

The boys in Prefab 9 were conducting investigations today. First, we wanted to find out if fat could really keep animals warm in winter. We made predictions before we began. Then we checked our ice water to see if it was cold!
After that, we covered our fingers in a layer of fat to protect us from the cold.
Finally, we checked how cold the water felt when the fat was covering our fingers!
Our second experiment was designed to investigate how crystals are formed. We again began by making predictions. Then we poured warm water and salt into containers. Next, we stirred the water to dissolve the salt.
Now, we have to wait to see if our predictions are correct!

We are working very hard during our Literacy Stations. We are continuing work on counting syllables in words, strengthening our fine motor skills with play dough and working on our pencil control. Well done boys!

The boys in Prefab 9 are Maths superstars! We have been working incredibly hard, constructing and deconstructing bigger numbers using tens and units.
