We had a great day today for our first ever Sports Day. We did lots of activities such as:
Basketball
Hula Hoop Toss
Dodgeball
Skipping
Relay Races & Egg and Spoon Race
Hurdles
And our favourite: Parachute Games!
We ended the day with a whole school dance-athon! It was a fabulous day!
The boys had a lovely week trying out lots of new sports. We really enjoyed Sports Day! ⚽️
We had a fantastic day at Bloom. We saw a sheep being sheared and learned all about cows. Then we learned about different vegetables and fruit. Finally we had a talk about the food pyramid and what food is healthy for us. We had a fabulous day.
The boys started active school week with an exciting Taekwondo lesson from Master Howard! It was fun to try a new sport!
The boys showed great coordination and team work today during our Relay Race activity. They listened to the coach, waiting their turn and worked great together! They finished the activity with a few laps of the yard. Well done boys!
Our second day of ASW 2023 was fantastic! The boys had a great time trying out some new GAA drills and as always, their enthusiasm and enjoyment was evident. Thank you to Mark, our coach, for a very enjoyable morning of football.
Our Friday challenge was to design and build a vehicle that would float. We had great fun testing our vehicles. The boys really impressed us with their engineering skills and their ability to problem solve. They discovered that weight distribution and surface area could have an impact on whether their vehicles survived our testing! We definitely have some future scientists in Room 1.
