January: The Vet

Our theme for this month in Aistear is the Vet.

We’ve been busy at the local clinic treating all the sick pets, including zoo animals.

We’ve also been exploring the creation of a village made up of pets.

We have been working on our fine motor skills with our favourite activity: Playdoh! We created pets, dog and cat food and different homes for our pets. We also really wanted to give our pets a January Christmas!

And lastly, we’ve enjoyed creating different pets and homes for our pets using dominoes and soft blocks. How cool are these creations?

Printing Igloos

This month we are exploring the Arctic. We loved learning about all the different animals that live in the Arctic, but especially enjoyed printing igloos today for the inuit people there!

Our Winter Trees

We really missed our Art lessons and couldn’t wait to get back to them! On Friday we created our own Winter trees, with no leaves because we know during the winter, trees are bare. We loved using our fingers and cotton buds to add different size snowflakes!
