Our artist of the month for January is Jackson Pollock. We explored his work and talked about some of the techniques he used to create his paintings, then we tried some of those techniques for ourselves!

The boys had so much fun investigating with magnets! They explored what is magnetic in our classroom and made some very interesting discoveries!

The boys were thrilled to see snow today. Their excitement was infectious, so we wrapped up warmly and went outside for some fun!

Today in Room 1, we decided to have our own white Christmas and made snow. The boys had ‘snow’ much fun!

The boys in Room 1 are incredible artists. Look at this beautiful Christmas themed artwork that they have made. We think that you will agree that it is very special!

We are having so much festive fun in Room 1! We love listening to Christmas songs while we work.

This week in P.E., we concentrated on Gross Motor skills. These key skills, while important for every day life, promote brain development and help develop the boys’ fine motor skills. We also had lots of fun!!

We also enjoyed a little freestyling to some music chosen by the boys!

The boys really enjoyed painting these beautiful winter landscapes. We were really impressed at how hard they worked and each picture was uniquely creative.
